Protecting Your Intellectual Property
Contact Altman & Martin Today

Founded in 1958 as Morse & Altman, our firm has always focused on intellectual property law. While the name of the firm has changed as attorneys have come and gone over the years, our commitment to helping individuals and businesses throughout New England protect their intellectual property has remained the same.

I am attorney Steven K. Martin, the current sole attorney and owner. My former partner, Gerald Altman, retired in 2005, and we have retained his name to honor a firm that has protected the intellectual property of businesses and individuals from high-tech startups to blue-collar workers throughout New England for fifty years.

Having graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 1977 as a computer engineer, I went on to obtain my master's degree from Syracuse University in 1981. I worked as a computer engineer for over fourteen years and then put myself through Boston University law school. Upon graduating, I started working at our firm, and have remained dedicated to the firm and the practice of patent and trademark law ever since.
